300tdi gearbox or transfer box upgrade?

Hi.
Am new to forum so be kind.
I need to overhaul my noisey gearbox and clacking transfer box, but am also thinking of up rateing one or the other as i do alot of motorway miles.
Should i be thinking of a different ratio for gearbox or transfer box. If so any ideas of which company to get the bits off of, was thinking of Ashcroft.

I don't think such a thing exists, usually the upgrading of ratios etc is on defenders, and the solution is to use a discovery transfer box....

Can you try and describe the problems you are trying to solve, before we discuss possible resolutions.

In general the std set of main gearbox and transfer box are more than adequate for motorway miles.

Also if possible, give us the revs in 5th gear at 60 & 70mph - that tell us what ratio TB you've got.
