we are at a loss with other halfs disco, he changed fuel pump (without locking it) and cam belt, its all timed up correctly now but still wont go? he has the fly by wire pump does it need to be set up by the computer? or can the computer diagnose what the fault is? he tried jump starting it from a 24v digger would this have blown something up? we really are at a loss as cant figure it out didnt want to take it to landrover as sooo expensive, if anyone has any ideas please share them, is there a special way of timing them up if you dont lock the pump or are there many variations for pump timing? he has had his machanic friend helping him and both of them are stuck with what to try next please help its driving me mad being his unpaid taxi driver lol

24v wasnt good idea, timing is easy crank with pin cam with mark pump with pin, does pump buzz with ignition on if not check fuses and take and get it tested with diagnostic kit

Cannot help with the OP problem. But just to say you can jump 12V with 24V to boost starting. This was often done on site with earthmoving equip in the extreme cold. Has to be done very carefully and correctly, otherwise big bang and lots of smoke.

cheers
