Hi all,
Fisrstly a big thank you for letting me loin your online debate fraternity.
Secondly I need your help, I have had the dreaded 3 amigos on for about 3 weeks now with the hand brake light to accompany them, I have replaced both front wheel bearings and sensors both front and rear, also have replaced the shuttle valve for new one but to no avail all the lights are still on.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to a possible solution. I have read the codes they read as follows:- shuttle valve electrical fault and front wheel bearing sensor fault but these are all new parts??????
Many thanks
Ned

Morning,

Have you put it on diagnostics?
Did you have the 3 amigoes and then gain the handbrake warning light as an exta afterwards?

Cheers

Hi again,
Yeap, done that, cleared all codes, as soon as that was done they all came back on stating the same faults as above.

Hi, the SVS fault can't be fixed well only by changing the switch pack, wiring mod option B is necessary, as about the hub if it was some cheap one it's not uncommon at all to bring up the amigos straight away or to have the wrong number of teeth on the reluctor ring eventually, the ''handbrake" warning can be caused by low fluid level too or it can be together with the 3 amigos by default as part of the protocol, actually it should be there all the time but in reality it is not.

Hi sierrafery,
The valve switch is new and the wheel bearings were bought from jgs in the UK a reputable land rover parts dealer, as to the brake fluid, I thought the same and topped it up so this is not the fault, I also thecked the float in the reservoir this also is working OK.
I am at a loss

Read again my post. I just told you that a new switch pack doesnt fix the SVS fault cos the problem is within the modulator's internal contacts so a wiring mod is necessary, explained here https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...ring-mod-option-b-graphic-explanation.272156/... and how much was the price of that hub bought from JGS? and what brand? was it maybe "britpart/allmakes or other" ? ... anyway if you have a dedicated D2 diagnostic tool read live stationary sensor inputs and if the one with the fault code gives you 0 then it might be a wiring issue, if it gives good reading that hub is fubar from new also for ''solid'' open/closed circuit codes the red brake warning comes on by default with the 3 amigos

I did the SVS mod a while ago to fix the three amigos shuttle valve electrical failure which it did. I bought a kit off eBay, not the cheapest option but nice and neat.

I now have an unrelated amigos and red brake light, yet to investigate but as said above the wiring mod is probably your next step.
