Hi all,

Living in Tanzania, I have decided to replace the Efi system with twin SU carbs, parts are just too expensive and often not available.

Having searched forums, blogs and googled away, decided that I would try the members here.

I have figured out where most of the bits go excepting the following.
The manifold has an inlet at the front and rear about an inch in size, can I block off the rear?

EFI loom, can this be removed without affecting the starting and charging circuits?

On top of the manifold is an outlet for the brake vacuum as the system is ABS can this be blocked off or left open?

Has anyone done this conversion successfully or know off a post or blog covering it?

Thanks

Tony

I have a 3.9 converted to carbs, but I am not sure if my manifold is the same as yours. On my manifold the front inlet you mentioned provides the vacuum for my brake servo. The rear one connects to the side of the 2 carbs, on the lower of the 2 pipes, the ones nearest the air intake. I have a small connector on the top of the manifold, between the carbs, and pointing towards the front of the engine, this has been blanked off on mine. Hope this helps, I will try and take some pics later if it want.

The injection loom and the sensor loom are one is it a soft dash?
If so does it have an alarm?
