Hi,

Brilliant Car, great fun to drive and very educational.

Do you have it running properly yet?

Poor running can be many things as you are finding out.

The most important thing to remember with the Classic is check the rubber hoses for air leaks.
Dont use any other brands of leads or distributor parts as they WILL always let you down. (Speaking from experiance)
This will include Bosch from Halfords etc.
Buy them from your Landy dealer or you will waste your money.
Make certain you have the correct plugs
Do not spray wd40 then run engine before it has evaporated.
All genuine parts are stamped Lucas
If it is a Blue distributor it's not genuine
As said on another posting the coolant sensor is known to give problems
It's the more difficult one to replace. The second one in from the front of the engine under the hose. You may even see coolant leakage signs between the plastic and metal housing

I hope you get it sorted
