As above really, I just bought a set of 4 265/75 tires for my Landy to replace my 235/85 tires, just wondering what would be the implications of using the spare if I ever needed to? I put them next to each other and the 235 is marginally taller than the other. I work about 20 miles away down the motorway so this is probably the furthest I'll need to travel on it, will it be ok?
Ta!

It'll be fine. It's no different to fitting a new tyre with a worn tyre.

^^^^^ What he said, and buy a second hand spare the same size. sods law you'll get the puncture when you've taken a longer trip and will save your diffs.

I have thought about it but they're so expensive! If I was going to do it I'd want a bf goodrich to match the others but they fetch stupid money second hand even! I'm keeping the old wheels and tires for now anyway so if something does happen to one at least u can put the whole old set on :)

Keep an eye on ebay. I did when i needed a spare 235/85x16 i picked up a brand new dunlop allterain for a tenner with £10 shipping.

Thought that was a bargain some of the tyre prices on ebay are fffing stupid you can buy new for the same money as they sell part worns
