24v to 12v

Hi fellas,

OK after deciding to keep the series i have once again decided to do something...

..,that something is convert it from 24v to a 12v system, parts are hard to come by and expensive and i have a fair few knackered parts.

I'm hoping that it will be a case of, take off the starter, alternator, lights etc etc anything electric. and put in 12v parts.

Does anything need adapting or modifying to fit the 12v bits in place?

Im hoping its that simple but im probobly massivley wrong.

Any help appreciated.

i think it would be doable i think the only thing that you can retain will be the harness, everything else even the instruments willhave to go

it is do able i have done one but every little thing runs through the main swithc in the middle of the dash board

just out of interest has anybody tried this conversion before? what are the chances of being able to keep the loom the same?

i have done one and it is do able but u will need a new starter,alternator,wiper motor,fuel sender unit,fuel guage, change all bulbs,voltage regulator,flasher unit and other relys
