Right, quick update for you all. The Rangy has had a new stub axle, new fan belts new door switches and brakes re bled tonight. Last night I put the road wheels back on and took it for a drive. All good, gearbox is okay with no clunk when you lift the clutch to speak of but can be a swine getting into third and fourth. Oh and the speedo has stopped working [emoji35] can't find a problem but there is one somewhere. Checked the plug but still nothing. Suggestions would be welcome on this one. It now runs a LT230 Instead of the Borg & Warner as for some reason the B&W wouldn't separate from the old box so the disco one went in for ease, again suggestions welcome. Right road test and towing test this weekend, taking the GF to a eventing morning on Sunday. Might join the AA [emoji12]

Stu, I don't know about diesel Rangies with manual box but speedo on mine is electronic - I had to replace the speed sensor on mine, it could be that you too have an electronic speedo and the sensor has died, unfortunately as far as I am aware, you can only use an RRC speed sensor and new they are quite pricey for what they are. Anyway, I could be way off beam here but perhaps something for you to look in to. The sensor is a small box attached to the chassis rail on passenger side, if it has one I'm sure you'll find it. HTH.

Yeah that will be moved, it needs a new bonnet but as it's competing in the RTV at the ALRC Nationals next weekend it can stay put until I make a new bracket to mount it central on the bumper

Me and my old man will hopefully leave by about 11.30 ish Friday. I got weds and Thursday off to finish any Last min bits because I thought I was taking the 80. May spend a day or two in that get the darn thing welded up once and for all weather permitting!!
