Hi all updated pics.
thought this might be of interest to those of you who may be wanting to fit aftermarket temperature gauges and needing to make an adapter for the sender unit as it seems there's not one readily available.
The adaptor is 5/8 unf thread to match engine thread.
I machined adaptor down and drilled 9mm hole through to take 10x1mm tap.
Finished product.
Hope this makes sense and is useful to someone out there : ).
On a foot note the gauge that came with it is stuck at 40 deg, I know its not the sender as that works with the old gauge
