so I broke down in the Mont Blanc tunnel after a 1500 mile trip around Europe camping.

Started on motorway, and accelerater was unresponsive, engine management ligt flashed on then went of and it drove as normal.

Trouble starting, turns over but takes awhile and the idles like a lab puppy waiting to eat..... shaking and stammering.

Car takes ages to rev up until it gets above 3000 rpm, then it cuts out when back to idle. I have videos but not sure how to upload.

Cheers,

Rich

Looks like a candidate for a code reader with live data.

Otherwise, it's the Td4 poor performance list:
Fuel rail sensor harness
Injector problem
HP pump regulator O-ring
LP pump/filter
Etc.

Thank you! Ill have to try and get a code reader. Anyone near Hampton court who has one? Willing pay/take on boat trip/buy a drink/hug

Hi Rich.
Try unplugging the MAF sensor see how responds then, you will need to remove the air filter cover first to do so, also you could try some electric switch cleaner in the fuel rail sensor harness plug, after spraying with cleaner plug it off and on a few times, after that as above code reader, also inspect the HPFP regulator O-rings they can split cost to replace £5.00

Cheers. Will give it a go! Just as s well I'm on summer holidays with no marking to do!!!

Fuel rail sensor! Fixed it! Thanks for all the comments you lovely people!

Hello Rich, Hope that your 'fix' is still going strong...just be aware that the TD4 will run better if you 'fix' something for a short while then you may find out it makes other issues worse until you track them down too....Have been down that road before...Keep us informed, we won't 'gloat' if your FL1 takes a step backwards.... ;-)

It might pay to do the over lay harness to it as a precaution about £45 from land rover they have uprated gold connection to stop the corrosion inbetween fuel rail pressure switch look problem up as youve put new sensor on will pay to do harness aswell
