Hi all
Have decided to check various bit on my 53 plate td4 freelander.
Whilst checking the pcv filter (which was filthy) I noticed that there is a rigid pipe that comes from the depths of the engine bay and there is also an inline filter also not connected.
I would be grateful if anyone can advise me what they're for and where they should be connected.
I have tried to upload pictures to help identify these.

Thanks as always

Danny

Yep, breather pipes....should just hang down on the drivers side, there should be clips there. :)

The inline filter is a free to air breather (I have this in mine too so don't worry). The other one I am not sure about but will be checking mine. Could be something to do with aircon but don't quote me on that.

yeah 2nd pic is engine breather filter its normal in that position:cool2: 3rd pic is ird breather pipe it looks as though its been pulled around abit ,i would check just to make sure its still attached to the ird :monitor_punch:

the in-line filter is the turbo vent filter it should have a plastic clip on to clip to another pipe but do not worry they get brittle with the heat of the exhaust and break off you need to change it every 12,000 miles hope this helps

Turbo filter, should clip to the back of the air cleaner box, left side .
