2 stroke oil in your diesel ?

have been told putting 2 stroke in the diesel aids economy
is it true? does it work ?
been told 300ml to a 70 litre tank?
will the cat cope with it ?

I've heard of people putting it in petrol cars.
Also Acetone. Voodoo magic to me though
