Hi chaps, need some help please.
2.5 n/a 110.
Changed the timing belt and tensioner on my mates 110 for him, I used this guide;https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/7880-25-na-timing-belt-replacement/
I lined the timing marks up and after I fitted the belt wound the engine over on the crank with a socket 6 times and re checked the timing marks-all good.
I put it all back together, and no start, it turns over fine.
I have fuel to the pump and injectors.
I know its not good, but I tried a bit of easy start, it fired, knocked loudly and conked out.
I'm thinking that I have either fitted the new belt a tooth out, or it's jumped a tooth?
The one thing I have not checked is the stop solienoid, will do that tommorow. I assume with ignition on the solenoid should be live?
Any ideas please.
