2.5 td disco 1 will a petrol radiator fit a diesel?

Hi,

next door neighbour blew out his radiator on a 1995 diesel disco 1, will a petrol radiator fit?

I only ask because I drive series landies (you know the proper ones) :doh:anyway he's struggling to find out if a petrol radiator will fit a diesel.

So in the spirit of good will because he's my friend I thought I would ask you guys out there who know more about disco's than I do.

why not just buy another one that will fit his model?

or he could buy a disco to fit the rad

well in his defence he drives a disco, so not much sense there! & also he just happens to have a radiator off a petrol, in all honesty don't ask me I'm just trying to help a friend with an untreatable lack of vision in buying a disco in the first place.

Even if it does a have a kick asss ARB winch bumper and a 9k Warn winch along with a set of the biggest wheels and tyres I have seen on a disco, plus all the usual big boy's add ons you guys put on your disco's. Even has flashing lights.

still have to pull him & his other afflicted friends with disco's out with my 1964 series though.

Anyway now the ****ing contest is over, it was just really a simple question.

I can tell u just that in the catalogue they have different part numbers and the coolant flow diagram is different too(this is serious)..............

but with stubberdness and a big hammer a man could fit anything

Probably not, I wouldn't risk it.
How does he know what condition the petrol radiator is?
Be safer just to buy a new radiator.
