2.2 FL2 manual MPG

I have a 2.2 manual freelander 2. Im not heavy footed and change uo at 2k revs. Do a mixture of driving I'm struggling to get 30mpg .I recently had an auto as a courtesy car whilst mine had work done and always getting 30-35mpg???

What could be causing the low mpg or is it normal??

When was it last serviced?

Certainly won’t be good in this cold weather

At 116,000 miles it's now at 122,000 I believe it had the timing belt done at the same time I got it at in December just gone

What sort of return are you getting??

Auto six spd td4 160 was at best 31 mpg
Auto six spd sd4 190 was at best 39 mpg
