Carrying on from http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/afternoon-quick-question-132017.html I have now spoken to the gentleman owner and am starting to get sweaty hands...

Paint is all original , had small amount of work done on chassis for MOT - no advisories. Bulkhead sound , chassis sound , rear door has had small panel replaced due to white dust. Quite like the look of it (even though I was orig looking for a series) (sorry) as it is the first of the 110's. Anyone who knows about 110's live in Kings Lynn area wanting to earn a few beer tokens by casting their expert eye upon it? Will hopefully be looking to go to Heacham on the Saturday or Sunday of this weekend????

If not what words of sage advice can anyone give me???

He's asking £2,750 so will start with 2 anything less than 2,5 would make me a happy camper but is it too rich?

Thanks in advance.......:)

TBH..It looks ok, as far as you can tell by the few pics, but theres none of the engine or chassis.

I'd say its a bit overpriced for a 2.5N/A...2k tops with a full MOT..just cos of the engine. Only positive is that the N/A is bombproof...but it really does lack grunt.

Go and see it, for sure. As in your other thread, the old "snow tax" does push prices up this time of year. But it appears to be a nice original 110 - so if that's what floats your boat...
As Storm says, that engine will be gutless. Dunno if it'll bother you - I'd be looking to put a 2.5TD or 200tdi in it, assuming everything else was solid.

Take a big screwdriver and don't be afraid to have a good poke around underneath. You'll probably know by now where the chassis rots. Same goes for the bulkhead.

I think you can read a certain amount into the surroundings in the pictures ... Big house and All mercedes and speedboats. Definitely worth a look on the assumption that it probably hasn't been abused and has possibly been well looked after

:eek: So well off people look after stuff? Bolix..they care less cos they can buy a new one..don't let anything fool ya..look carefully at it..

Make sure you have a good look around it for rust espesially around the back end may have been what they used for launching boat (salt water)

Take a fair sized hammer and tell them you want to give the chassis a good whack.
If they throw a fit, walk away.
Tap along the full length of it and make sure it's solid. The sound will change though because it is different thicknesses in different places.
I didn't pay 2750 for my 200 so I wouldn't pay more than £2000. If you want it and plan on keeping it though, the price shouldn't be an issue, it's not a total rip off.
