hello boys

was over in germany this week checking on the progress of a RR project we are involved in - we have built a monster engine for it and uprated running gear and a few things besides - the body and chassis have been done to an amazing standard.

The body is now finished and was mated to the chassis on Monday.

6 weeks to D-Day

here are some pics.

let us be honest lads - we all would if we could.

the fact that the car is a RR should have no bearing on it - nobody bats an eyelid about 200k restos on jags, mercs and the like.

Well the RR is now in that exalted company.

I will have to ask the guys is Germany -
Maybe rear seatbelts were not standard in the
market where the car was sold.

I know there are none in the 1973 Swiss turbo car
that we have just finished

that is of course a possibility..

along with ....the boys at solihul just couldnt be arrsed to weld them in..friday afternoon car..lol...(sad but true!)

how long it it take to polish up that paint job!!it looks perfect...even on the brackets....

someone is going to be very happy when its handed over to them..

Very happy yes, but I don't know how you could drive something like that when it's finished and absolutely perfect.

I'm scared of getting dirt on mine and its no where near perfect!

Needless to say the client has a team of classic car mechanics who look after his cars full time - I don't think it is out of order for me to say that once the novelty has worn off it will be placed with his collection and be driven only occasionally.

Having said that he really has taken an interest in the build - which is very encouraging - and he is really looking forward to having it delivered.

Well

I do expect as griff says it will end up in an air conditioned
Garage next to the db5..but at the end of the day thats the
Customers choice..

But you never know..i spent 1 yr ( then another 2 perfecting)building sally,(BRB is now 1 1/2 yrs)well over 800 hrs
And she is my daily drive..she cost me easy 80k if you work out labour
Etc..
So maybe you will see this car being driven about(assuming u in right country!)

I hope so..
