hi people well after a few months without my p38 im starting to miss a 4x4,well exept how unreliable the p38 was:D,so im thinking a 90 but as i have a baby daughter i would need to get a seat suitable for the rear. I have found a company selling them think they were £3-400,then i would be loosing a bit of rear space as i would be using it to carry various items from time to time and we are planning to go away in the summer so will need to carry luggage and fishing tackle:rolleyes:
so this brings me to belive a 110 would be better suited however i personally think the 90 is more attractive.then you have the engine options not to fussed but i want something that is strong and relaible i was told by a friend the 200/300 tdis were the better option my uncle has one with a 2.5td lump which seems ok too.
also the budgets would be £2000 max i think so am i wasting my time and going to end up with a nail?i as a competent technician i dont mind getting my hands dirty tidying up but i dont want a money pit, anyone advise?

200 tdi. Sounds like you need a 110 with the extra passenger. I personally have a 90 but its only me and the missus so load space is not an issue.

go for a 200tdi station wagon. my mate just sold one for £1500. It was fine except for damaged body panels. nothing major, just looked a bit ratty. but for £1500 it was a good buy for the bloke who bought it.

any help?

yeah sound advise what about reliability though?

you had a P38 before ? - then there's no need to worry about the reliability of a 90 or a 110, whichever engine it's got it's going to be much more reliable than any P38 could ever be

a well looked after 200tdi is within your budget and one of the better engines. You may find a 300tdi but the rest of it will be ratty for your 2k budget.

go for the 200... trust us ;)
