1.8 petrol jumpy/ pulling on hills/under load

Hi,
After finally fixing my alternator my original problem still persists in that its pull back for split seconds as if its jumping going up hills or under load.
Does anyone have any solutions I can be looking into. I already looked at fuel filter and it seems nice and clean, worth just replacing it?
