Is the clutch actuating arm free, or seized, otherwise the release bearing has worn through the clutch release spring

Where did you get the new ones? If cheap off ebay then that could be your problem but as Freelance said check your actuating arm is well lubricated.
Could be the old slave was fine but couldn't push the arm in fully and the new one isn't as good as the old one.
