Hi, I have just replaced my drivers side window mechanism with a spare from a parts shop on the internet. I have connected it up but it will not give me full travel on the sliders. It appears to move upwards okay but will only move downwards about 5 inches before stopping. The motor is not trying to move it any further, is there a built in stop in the motor or do i need to set it up before fitting. Everything appears to be installed correctly. I know that there are posts regarding the installation of the regulators but this issue isnt covered as far as i can see.

Thanks in advance

Craig

Normally a blockage cuts power to the motor. Even though everything is fitted properly has one of the rubber/felt channels dropped slightly and kinked where you can't see it? Close it fully and watch for the rubbers moving down with it when you open it. It could even be something as silly as catching on the wiring or the multiplug connector. Check the routing of the wires or door pull cables/ rods.
