I thought I would share my experience of this latest insurance company con to relieve you of £15. I recently bought a bit of a project 300tdi 110csw for £4500, and after spending a lot of time and money making it I my dream car, I decided to go for the agreed valuation option on my policy. I had to pay £15 extra, and submit photos and bills for my car. I also had to value my car, which I decided £8500 was fair. Flux then mailed me to inform me they valued my car at £5500. I then rang them to find out why it had been valued so low, and try to get them to up the valuation (yeah I know fat chance). I end up telling them to forget the valuation and refund my £15 ( yep no chance) so admitted defeat and hung up. The problem is you can't agree the valuation before you decided to buy. I kick myself now because at the time I thought, what if they value my pride and joy to low. Anyway hindsight is a great thing

Strange! Flux happily valued my 90 at £13.5k with barely an argument (purchase price £9k), that said I did provide details of 6 similar vehicles listed on ebay/autotrader to back up my claim.

Also happily valued my 110 at £14k from the get go with no issue at all.

Speak to Jordan above, he should sort it for you!

I had no problems with mine
flux did a value of £18.5k
Although what they don't tell you is that the agreed value has to be done every year, and until they get the info
your newly rebuilt pride and joy will be valued at market value!

I'd like to see them try and buy a replacement for 5.5k:eek:

Agreed, big style. That would be really funny if said "valuation" wasn't such an insult.:mad:

+1 for BB's comments too - @K14 let us know what happens - both our D1's are on agreed value policies, so I'm interested to know how you get on. watched.:)

I hope we hear how this turns out, resolved or not. We all too often don't.

I know Jordan @Adrian Flux can't really say a lot because of personal details etc so we're kinda dependant on @K14 updating.

Hey BB

You're quite right, I'm unable to post details for obvious reasons but members of course can if they choose to do so :)

I'm yet to hear from the OP but will be on hand if they decide to get in touch. Most of you know me from over the years and know that I'll always do everything I can do assist you all and have proven in the past that I can resolve matters.

I'm here to help :)

Just renewed mine with Adrian Flux, no problem with the valuation (which was more than I paid for it) and speedy response with paperwork :)

Well a nice lady from Adrian flux phoned me today to tell me my valuation had been increased from £5500 to £7250. She told me it could be increased further with an independent valuation etc, and mailed me further paperwork. I would have liked a little more, but on the whole I am happy.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jordan from flux for his involvement in getting this issue resolved

That's good news
but I would get an independent valuation if you are still not 100% happy
But good on Jordan for getting it resolved

Glad to hear this has been resolved as best as possible!

I've said for years now if any of you are ever unhappy with any aspect of your policy, just contact me and I'll do my very best. We're only human and sometimes mistakes are made or judgements are made incorrectly so we will review each case as it comes.

K14, thanks for the PM, if you have any further queries during the course of the policy you know where I am :)

Thanks guys

Jordan
