Young James made a fold down bed for his 90, think he posted a pic in the 2014 trip page.
He kip'd in it and made his dad sleep outside..

As for spares, we dumping the stuff we took and will take more transmission / drive stuff, diff, drive shafts etc, as that's what seemed to be going when we spent the day at the garage in Zagora with them. All sorts of 4x4's coming in with busted diffs and half shafts.

Mike's tent idea was great, he had a penthouse view from up there, mind you, no good if you need a pee in the middle of the night, long way down in the dark!

I've got some pictures of the storage and sleeping area we made in the back of the P38, worked really well. Only needed letting out once ;)

Can't make 2015 but are doing 2016 for sure.

Cheers
Adam

Look forward to the pics.

A list of parts that I should take would also be useful

Agree 4 to 6 is the ideal number.
Should be able to go again in Spring 2015 - if an attempt to put together a trip to Namibia/Botswana fails to materialise - should know for certain mid December - off to Morocco/Western Sahara November with my youngest son for 3 weeks - each driving a 300tdi 110.

I'm still working on the possibility of a Spring trip 2015. I will also know around December time if its on for sure. It is looking promising.
I was thinking of doing the Atlas and the La Plage Blanche.

Africa will either be full of ebola by then or it'll be basically gone. So not too worried about that. 2 doctors in the car and me a mechanic so were pretty covered ;)

Apart from that what could possibly go wrong ?

Ha, famous last words.

Sounds like an amazing trip though, is there more than one vehicle going?

Right, I have been following your conversation and your trip descriptions. I have just bought a 2005 Defender 110 double cab to join you or whoever is going next Easter was it?

I'm in!

I'm happy to come and have a chat in person regarding what stuff I will need, if anyone is happy to meet?

Hi, so far it's only a possible trip for Easter 2015. I'm very interested and so is Oldun.
We went Easter this year and had a great time. The rest of the group are planning for Easter 2016 and I will be up for that one also. We will know for sure around Christmas time for the 2015 trip.
Chris prepared a blog of the 2014 trip ,see the link:
"Living with Larry" my Land Rover Discovery 1 300TDI and overland travel: Morocco 4x4 overland tour, day 2

I'm sure the Guy's from the UK will reply soon to your suggestion for a meet up and drink.
I'm a bit far out unless your planning a trip to France.
