so I may as well be gliding along in a Rangie then!

My p38 4.6thor does 180 -220 for around 40 quid dependinge on how lead footed I am and how much town driving is involved, it is significantly betteron a run

I suspect your right and I also have seen many bad lpg conversions to know quite a few are simply a waste of time.
half the price a ltr of petrol and less power and miles per ltr on stock ecu and compression ratio.
Ive personally had 2 lpg vehicles and they are both ****e

On my 3.9 softdash I find that lpg cuts between a quarter and a third off fuel bills, depending on type of driving. Towing my small caravan seems to make no difference at all.
66p a ltr
68.9p / ltr near me..........ok so £62.01 to be precise.

My L322 with a BRC Sequent system does 15mpg and this is not exaggerated...I log all my fill ups on my iPhone using and MPG app....and I have tracked every single fill up since June 2012.

Bit off topic but just out of interest saint how long would you say it takes to change over to lpg on your BRC system?

My setup is set to change over once the Coolant Temp has reached 60degC....so during the summer it will change over within a mile so about 2-3 minutes in the winter it is around a 1.5 - 2 miles so around 5-6 minutes. once the engine is warm it will changeover as soon as the revs settle after starting so within 30 seconds of engine on.
The M62 engine should warm up fairly rapidly and within 2.5 miles or so mine is up to around 85-90degC according to the Instrument Ktmp: Dash Readout through the hidden menu!

You have to add to your cost the petrol used until warm up.
Looking at the UK fuel price comparison sites, there is not a big difference between petrol & diesel, so an L322 diesel averaging 25mpg costs less per mile than LPG.

Depends on the miles travelled really if someone's doing a lot per year the time spent burning gas will surely out way the small amount of time/ miles burning petrol. Lpg round here is 69p per litre and petrol 1.28 per litre which is a big diff. A friend of mine has the td6 and struggles to get much more than 22mph combined. There's not much in it between petrol and diesel is there?
