""Like the north and south alternate idea, though it wasn't too bad getting to the event. Real easy for some and a little harder for the Yorkist who decided that it was off junction 15 and not 19 hahaha. ""
No idea who you're talking about!
Fantastic site, the best 'organised' site I've stopped on.
Was about 130 miles each way which was enough with a cracked eggspansion bottle
North/South alternation would be a good option as would some form of identification, it's fine saying to the o/h, 'thats Landy23456928's landy and that's piglet/humber666's motor then you get to the beer tent, say eyup, introduce yourself to the first person who speaks to you who introduces herself as the barmaid!
Lol I had the same. My much better half was asking who peeps were and if I knew them and I was like... Er well I know that's Bushy cos he has a red freelander and speaks like me. I'd been taking the mick out of 3.5 and hadn't a clue who he was for ages. ( nice story about the bike by the way, very funny ) I got confused when people started calling themselves by their real name.
Thanks to 110 woman for introducing me to a few folks, afraid I forgot almost instantly in my aged mind.
I'll stick to northern laning trips in that case Leicester is a big trek in a series one
Your loss. :baby:
Your loss. :baby:
WHAT! Y'mean you've forgotten me already
I'll survive not one of the first meets I've been absent for nor will it be the last

I didn't come but voted yes.
Not had my Disco long enough to feel part of the group yet.
We have a simalar annual meet on the veg/bio forums I'm on and I wont miss it, so would be nice to come along next year.

I'm up for the annual challenge. To be fair a lot of this has been done by BlueBeasty and 110Woman. Without all of there running around, plan making, ticket pushing etc etc this wouldn't have happened.
There is a lot of credit to be taken to be fair, people donated, people organised and people came. But these two went above and beyond so a big thanks from me.
As Roy said Sarah and Dave at Stanford hall and Sharon and the Caravan Site where absolutely great and pulled out all of the stops when things very nearly ended. A massive credit to Stanford and their attitude towards their events no matter how small.
Same venue next year would get my vote. we know the place and the people now... and this is the first time we have been together and told that we can come back!!!
Deffo up for an annual event. great site and a great weekend. \for those that missed it or just couldn't be bothered to make the effort.. More fool you's... Don't miss the next one, Ya Numpties..
Should be several glampnìg pods next year-so there is answerread through each comment till I reached yours pikey,
but still have more to read after this post of mine.
So, yes, I`m gutted I never made it for a day or the weekend,
yes I must be a numptie, but then I have reason why I never slept in a tent in a field with many others.
I WAS all for it, got excited about going, right until the last few weeks before the event..
Reliability mate....
not the old disco of mine,
but me !!
it began to dawn on me I just cant camp anymore,
my tent, fold down bed & sleeping bag is still all packed ready to go in a holdall, from the last time I used it in 2006 - but, its 2014, and I am 8 years older....nuff said...
If the event is held again, the only way possable for me to attend will be in a caravan, with working mains electrics, and nothing less.
I`m 66 years of age, and "rather unwell"
but here on sunday night reading the fun coming through on peoples comments feelling a little sad by all your happiness, but good for you all, its what you actually went for..
maybe the next time well meet,
in one life or another ....lol
I got confused
