clutch doesn't seem to disengage.

My clutch pedal seems t have dropped so it doesn't fully disengage even when pressed all the way to the floor which make it extremely hard to change gear, it seems to have got worse from last night to the point where it is undriveable.
What has caused this?

very funny, I wasnt sure what search terms to use and haven't found a definitive answer.

FFS it int rocket science is it?? I replaced me own Transfer box on me own tuther week. I think you'll find that I can managed most jobs on my own.. But am sure that If I needed help, your wishes wouldn't come true on this occasion.. :doh:

search for master/slave clutch cylinder failure. also check the clutchfluid res next to the brake master cylinder to see if its low

I have checked the fluid and it was full, thanks for the help I will see what I can find.

which disco ,disco one could be a sign of clutch release arm wearing through pivot ,but for both disco 1 and 2 check fluid in reservoir ,check behind steering colum at clutch pedal to see if master cylinder is leaking and slave by undoing the 2 securing bolts and carefully removing ,hold push rod when half way out as it can come off release arm with slave cylinder ,another sign of poor master cylinder is splashing in reservoir when pedal pumped ,air will be sucked in if either cylinder has poor seals

Its a discovery 1 200tdi, I have checked the fluid and thats fine, will go and have a look at the master cylinder now.
Hope its not a box off job to fix:doh:

Why?? Removing a box is hardly rocket science so its nothing to worry about When yu've done it you can come back and brag about it.
