Hi,
Had a high pitch whining noise from under the passenger side of the engine compartment when you switch off the ignition. It lasts about a minute and then gives off some blue oily smoke and then switches itself off. It sounds like a small fan gone a bit mental.
I started playing with the fuses in the engine fusebox and if I remove F5 the problem stops.....and I can drive around normally without any warning lights or anything. In the manual it says F5 is for Engine Management, transmission cooling fan, automatic gearbox......but the car is a 2L Td4 2003 HSE Freelander with a manual gearbox.
Was wondering if anyone knew anything about it, do I actually need it?
Cheers
PS - why Im t it, fuse F3 is missing already.....is that normal?
