No, it's not normal, not for a couple of minutes anyway, eventually untill the vehicle starts moving... this is the behaviour if a wheel speed sensor code was logged
Sorry, i dont know
-
I've kind'a expected that :(... unfortunately it seems there was a bad contact or short somewhere which fixed itself while you made all those measurements and jiggled the wirings, if the fault comes back the first step would be to rule out the IDM and BCU, better one of those than a hidden...

If it works the same with it removed(which it should) let it out as for the Td5 is 100% useless, it's just an unnecessary load on that circuit
-
As you can see the power from F24 splits to R4 relay's coil and to the EAT ECU and ECM while the power through the contact only to ignition coils by F14 so the only possibility for this relay to mix up the management would be that it's coil to have a short and create a slight voltage drop on...
-
Now that's the most enormous oddity i've ever seen(unless you confused R4 with other or the diagrams are wrong) as R4 is for ignition coils for V8's, it not supposed to have any function for a Td5... i dont even have it there o_O
remove it see what happens

I had once a fob on a ring with other empty one and it worked for me hence my belief
-
1. means that the oldkey works as it should and t's nothing wrong with the remobilisation coil
2. on the same ring is close enough that's certain... if you need to unlock then it's a problem with that fob's remobilisation cip
you know that the blades are interchangeable do you?
-
That's because your's is a Rover 75 fob which missses the remobilisation "cip" from factory or your D2's fob has it faulty... the pointed bit makes the difference, on R75 fob is not there from factory hence nothing to work with the remobilisation exciter coil(unfortunately some sellers are...

IMO you'll have to replace the BCU if the IDM(interior fusebox) was ruled out
-
-
If that's the best way you can then IMO it's a problem...
Rethink and explain better cos it makes almost no sense as long as in your statement it's no clear difference between "key" and "fob" nor between alarm and "immobiliser"(which are not the same thing)... though i can guess that the...

👍 Me too... i love rivnuts.

I'm glad for you but this doesnt explain at all those sparks you mentioned in a previous post  ... as about those plugs, they are not available as spares
-
Hi, IMO if you want new the VW one would not be cheaper at all than this https://twinwoods4x4.co.uk/product/td5-glow-plug-manifold-upgrade/ if you want to go a bit cheaper you can find individual wires to fit the plugs like this https://www.autodoc.co.uk/metzger/9338382 and join the engine...

Hi, IMO it's clear enough in the first post, all you have to do is to insert a two way switch or improvise somehow as to connect the orange/green wire from pin 8 of the vehicle's OBD port instead of the pink from pin 7 when you want to access the 10AS system then switch back as it was for the...
