The disco alloys are half tidy all with legal tyres. The Rangie wheels aren't in such good nick, especially one and the tyres are sh*t although probably mostly legal. Disco wheels £30 each or all five for £120 Rangie wheels £20 each or all five for £80

I think people are making a rod for their own backs by even asking insurers about green lanes. If the Road Traffic Act requires you to be insured then you are, simple as that. Whether they could legally exclude green lanes as part of the policy terms, which would require them to define exactly...

My 300 tdi started to run rough yesterday, then the temp guage suddenly shot up to the red. I stopped and the rad and top hose were cold until I tapped the thermostat housing. Got towed home and this morning I took out the thermostat (which didn't open in boiling water) Put it all back together...

The rev counter isn't working on my 300tdi, after searching I have made sure the wire is connected to the alternator but any ideas what the output from the alternator should be at this point? Can I check it with a meter?

I've noticed on a couple of threads that people that weren't there pop up after the event with "why didn't you", "I'd have done...." type comments. Does this really help? I thought the idea was to get people on their way and home safely. Won't this put people of helping if they think that...
