I have the common 40-something quid headlight guards on mine and if they have to be removed to change a bulb then they have to be removed to pull the headlight out. They are steel, a very common part and are attached under the bonnet and to the wing...job done, lights protected from knocks AND...

Take the mirror off, remove the external covers and tighten the offending parts...test before refitting in case you have overtightened :)

It sucks...I could afford that and probably the costs to get it through an MOT but not the price of getting it delivered to the opposite end of the UK :(

I would deffo recommend ebaying your gators mate, we did and they are excellent - much better quality than Landy used :)

When I asked for my Disco one the general consensus was poly is a waste of time and if you really wanna replace them go rubber but the difference isn't likely to be much. You have an offroad vehicle, they bounce rather than their wheels shattering. Want a harder ride? fit stupidly big wheels...

On checking the history on our 98 ES, original price paid was £35k :)

Light guards fitted, having a tap n die kit is handy sometimes. Nice, clean engine for her age, now minus an EGR. Sound proofing before (after a wash though) It's the little details...

Fair enough, I'll ignore it then and just have the pipes off for a clean every now and then so it doesn't build up.

Ok folks, today I fitted my EGR blanking kit and to make life easier I removed the airflow valve and the intake hose to the turbo... both were full of a black, oily substance (presumably oil) which doesn't seem right to me so I figured I should ask.... Should that oily crap be there? I...

hey folks, replacing some bits on our engine (disco ES) and while I can find the intercooler hoses and so on what I am not seeing is a replacement for that horrid ribbed turbo inlet hose, anyone know if there is a silicone replacement for that or do I have to suffer it ;)

Disco 2 units are Alpine as far as I know, not Phillips so no is the short answer.

Before any iffy comments, this is a straight up question: if you are using a brush anyway why not paint it with a straight to rust paint? Is it just the cost or is there another reason?
