OK, solved this one myself the next day when i started the car, put my foot down on the throttle and got absolutely nothing! It's the throttle cable, I must of dislodged it from the retaining groove on the pedal when i changed the brake switch the day before. Doh!

While investigating 4 amigos ABS issue today I came across this item (circled in red) hanging loosely next to the accelerator mounting assembly. Can anyone identify it's purpose? 2002 Freelander 1.8 manual

Did you get anywhere with this? I've got the same C1117 Valve Driver Failure error message along with the four lights.

OK, it's just that the service manual states that new sealing washers should be fitted...

I'd like to do a gearbox oil change on my 2002 1.8 3dr manual hippo but for the life of me I can't find part numbers for sealing/crush washers for the drain and filler plugs. Does anyone have these to hand?

Hi Mark I had the front left ABS sensor changed at a garage but the problem is still there. Luckily the lights didn't come on during the MOT so it got through OK. I got the sensor from here: Land Rover Freelander Front ABS Sensor SSW100080 Let me know if you get a resolution. Regards, Tony

Chris Are you sure that it doesn't have a primary (in line) pump in the engine bay (next to the fuel filter in a black plastic housing just behind the battery and below the fuse/relay box) as well as the rear wheel arch pump? I thought all the TD4s did. Both of my pumps have failed recently...

Mick Without knowing what engine you've got it's difficult to say for certain but this is typical of the behaviour i was experiencing from my TD4 before the Turbo died.
