    300tdi cutting out

Try temporarily bypassing your lift pump, if it drives better, there's your problem. You'll probably have a shortage of top end power like this, and it might not like going up hills or starting from cold though. Lift pumps cheap and easy to replace. Mark

    Land Rover 90 Tyres

If you're local to Leeds, I can sort the problem for you. Just leave in a carpark, and I'll swap your wheels/tyres for mine with 205's on. Then they won't rub.. Simple

    loss of power

Are you sure lift pump is working. Sounds like either that or fuel blockage somewhere, try a new fuel filter and check theres no air getting in the pipes/leaks.

Wanted - Twin line servo assisted brake pedal assembly

Not sure it does help, but thankyou. Need the compact pedalbox used on series and early 90's don't think defender/discovery one would fit either. Mark

Wanted - Twin line servo assisted brake pedal assembly

Wanting to upgrade the brakes on my s3 rebuild. Anyone got one of the twin line brake pedal setups with the servo they don't need. Also used on 90's I believe. Mark

    Noisy clutch

Ahh that's interesting Nitemare, my speedo needle has always done that. I also get some "kangerooing" when reversing, could this be related to the same loose shaft nut. I presume to tighten, I just need to disconnect the prop and tighten the nut on the drive flange. Mark

    Noisy clutch

Gearbox can be lifted by two people, but is quite heavy so support of a crane/block and tackle or similar helps. Rachet straps on a pole would do same job. You should be able to pick up a usable s3 box for about £50, recon £300. Also try Ashcroft for Recon's Mark

    Noisy clutch

Just to pick up on the metal bits.... The flat metal bits are most likely synchro springs, which have broken. When they broke, they probably fell into the gears, breaking a couple of teeth on the way. Sounds like gearbox has had a lucky escape and not broken anything expensive. It is however...

    200tdi diesal pump help

Pretty sure you can just rotate everything so the timing marks line up at TDC. To avoid any valves hitting pistons etc, before rotating the engine, I'd take the rocker shaft off and remove your glowplugs. Put the locating pin in the flywheel casing and ensure the camshaft lines up with the...

Can this chassis rot be welded/is it an MOT fail?

Definately repairable that. I've seen some replace virtually 100% of the chassis, and call it a repairable chassis. Mark

are series 2 and 3 roofs interchangeable?

In fact I've even heard that you can pinch the tax exempt status of a series 2 and fit it onto a series 3. Very naughty that though!!!

    WD40 in cylinder

If the diesel frees the engine and gets it rotating just refit the spark plugs and try to start as normal. The diesel is just to brake the seizure. Another thing to try is proper full fat Coca cola. This is very good at loosening rust in cylinders and piston rings No damage will be...
