That's another job done. I bought the whole service kit plus gave it a good clean down. Have ordered a new fuel line from pump to carb to complete the job. I have never had an In line filter? Is it necessary and if so any recommendations? The pump has a filter gauze and the carb has a filter so...

plastic. But had a brain wave. I am re newing the pump to carb fuel pipe complete so am thinking about taking the connection off that old one and fitting it to the input end of the pump. Just need to see if its the right thread .

Got my new fuel pump yesterday :) Fits nicely........probably because its the right one! haha. As expected though the union connector from the fuel tank at the pump end is totally different....:( Rather than get a whole new line, can I just get the fitting to match the series 3 pump on its...

Yep job done both sides now. I didn't need to remove the shock absorber from the mounting plate this time so left it all attached and let it drop after undoing the U bolts. Was much easier all round and re locating it I just used a small pump up jack underneath to lift it under pressure. :):)

Just took a look, nice to see it is printed on the side of the casting as a Weber Tipo 34ICH. Any special relevance to the "Tipo" bit?
