    i made my own, the bottom had corroded and i wanted to fit 2 batteries, i cut out the old one and made my own with a flat bottom. welded it in place...... perfect. both batteries fitted and 2 contactors for the winches.

    Thanks, Diff is out and on the bench, I thought it was a torque setting, I marked the spline to be able to fit back in the right place but didn't think about marking for rotations for refitting the nut....... doh. have since been told that the torque setting is 180nm. fingers crossed.....

    In all the torque settings I've found this one isn't there, typical, and yes its a BMW diff 4.10.

    Hi, 2006, TD6 model, am trying to find the torque setting for the rear diff, front pinion nut. Can find other torque settings just not for the rear diff. Thanks.

    I wish it was magic........ it could then fix itself.... Disconnected battery yesterday then this morning realised that I need to take it out of park.... doh.

    Thanks all, up to now the suspension has stayed up and its not moved while trying to jack up and make safe. Battery is disconnected now to so will see what happens. Got it on blocks at the back and will have stands under front incase of the front lowering. Just wondered to if the rear bags are...

    Have spent ages trying to jack up high enough and safe enough due to my drive NOT being flat and level...... ready to start removing rear subframe for a complete overhaul, full brake pipe replacement, replace secondary fuel pump...... then start on the front.........

    Hi, L322, 2006 Vogue. if the rear airbags are deflated via the valve in the rear wheel arch does it affect the front airbags ? And am I right in saying once up on stands and being left on stands to manually lock the doors then disconnect the battery so the suspension doesn't try and compensate...

    Hi, does anyone know if an early discovery front electric window regulator is the same mechanicals i.e. the gear part and the scissor part as a defender ?? Looking at mine and images the only part that look different is the slider that fits to the glass as it looks longer on the discovery one...

    thanks, just found the below image (at work) defiantly have the flat and not the slot. but FTC5241 doesn't look like it would fit anyway even if i had the slotted stub axle as the slot on the washer doesn't look like it matches. how many stub types were there I wonder, another washer type...
