    so it def sounds like its when its warmed up to temp. belt or waterpump ? i had a similar thing...it didn't cut out but would start warn me and go into limp mode. in my case the vanes on the water pump were solid on the shaft when it was cold...but when it was warm they would slip and not pump...

    Freelander alarm / central locking

    I think that the receiver module & antenna is mounted inside the speedo housing/sunshield. clipped to the top/rear of the speedo/revcounter module. (you cant see it unless you dismantle the housing) so you should have pretty good all round line of sight to the housing.
