    Starting diesel

Hi there, I have a nas 2.5 diesel 12J in my series. My query is it needs full acceleration to start it. I have had a few of these in the past and never touched the accelerator till it fired. Any idea why it would do this. It seems to run well otherwise. Billy

    Brake fitting

I have a brake master cylinder with servo, single line from a lwb and was hoping to fit it to my swb 2a. Now the brake fitting is different. My question is what size do i need? Dont worry I will be testing it rigorously off road before venturing on road. Billy

    Dodgy Brakes

I have bought a swb 2a soft top and am really pleased with it. But the brakes are very poor. A quick looksee shows it has series 3 hubs and 2a drums. Could this cause a problem or are they compatible. Its a single unassisted system.

    P38A Lost keys

OK, so I am having a few problems with the P38, mostly of my own making. I am thinking of buying a second hand ignition barrel, key and door handle. Is the ignition barrel common to all models? Mine is a 99 2.5 diesel

    Rebuilt cylinder head.

Further to my previous post on my 2.5 nas diesel I rebuilt the head hoping to nurse it through the winter, while I save to recon it. Just managed to start the engine and it is running on 2 maybe 3 cylinders. Is there anything obvious I should check first?

    Oily inlets

I took the head off my 2.5 nas diesel as it is smoky on start up. I have replaced the valve stem seals but they looked ok. The inlet valves are coked up and oily as are the inlet ports. The engine has the recycled fumes system coming from the sump. Should I replace the cartridge? Or is the...

    2.5 difficult starting

I have a 2.5 nas diesel in my series and it is getting hard to start. Always needs two or three tries and heat for much longer than it should, with winter approaching what would you recommend. It smokes blue and black on start up and under load when cold very black. Air filter, fuel filter and...

So something made me look under the bonnet tonight and I could hear a rough bearing, water pump or alternater I thought. A fine jet of water appeared and five minutes later large pool. My question is I have an old engine (2.5 nas diesel by the way ) and I want to swap the water pump from it...
