    Mine used to vibrate at 60, spent loads on propshafts and other stuff, drive slower, it's a 4 x 4 with massive wheels tyres etc and dirty great propshafts...................use a normal car for higher speeds!!!!

    Fools in Floods!

    I live in East Sussex, and at Scaynes hill the Road just past the Sloop has flooded and is around 12" deep. Now my daughter rode through it on her horse, and I took the Disco up there to have a look. First car made it but sadly the lady in the BMW didnt! Being the decent type I offered to tow...

    criuse control not working disco 2 td5

    could be the brake light switch as it is connected. I have a Peugeot 207cc where the cruise wouldnt engage consistently. Digging around the net the brake light switch was the culprit, new switch and problem solved. This may be the issue with your cruise esp as you say brake lights arnt working!

    Changing fob receiver

    my rx had a metal earth that the bolt would earth on within the bracket, but the was also a tagged earth wire floating around so i connected that as well. Changing fob receiver

    I did mine a while back, but only to find the earth lead hadnt been connected from new! (common it seems) I now have full range and a spare receiver which I am sure will work if anyone needs one! Just one point if your receiver is weak like mine and the OPs was, dont delay, get it fixed. Mine...

    viscous fan

    Fair point. Our Disco only goes short distances on road, we do tow a horse box occassionally, but only about 10 miles each way. I have noticed that the temp gauge doesnt move, in the summer towing back from East Grinstead there is a long 3rd gear slog, and the engine smells warm (with viscous...

    viscous fan

    I take mine off in the winter, as it only serves to slow down warm up.......

    PSI Power Pack - any good?

    think we might be missing something here, overall speed limit is 40 mph isnt it? Even an unchipped TD5 auto can manage that with a 3500 kg trailer so is there any point?

    using nanocom to disable alarm/immoboliser?

    I have a spare remote receiver and yours may not be broken could be just a bad earth, get in there and have a look!!!! My earth lead wasnt fitted from new (quite common it seems)

    Faulty Alarm/Fob issues

    you can actually feel the unit through the roof lining. I may be possible to move it enough to temporarily restate the earth connection............
