Hi Dave will do if it ever stops raining! Interior is clean with no tears and rear chassis is sound and got no mention at the MOT. Dont hold your breath but I'll get some photos when it's practical! It's not the most amazing Disco ever but it's good and solid with nothing much to go wrong!

could be the brake light switch as it is connected. I have a Peugeot 207cc where the cruise wouldnt engage consistently. Digging around the net the brake light switch was the culprit, new switch and problem solved. This may be the issue with your cruise esp as you say brake lights arnt working!

Isnt synthetic oil too slippery and doesnt allow the syncro rings to bite?

think we might be missing something here, overall speed limit is 40 mph isnt it? Even an unchipped TD5 auto can manage that with a 3500 kg trailer so is there any point?

I have a spare remote receiver and yours may not be broken could be just a bad earth, get in there and have a look!!!! My earth lead wasnt fitted from new (quite common it seems)

you can actually feel the unit through the roof lining. I may be possible to move it enough to temporarily restate the earth connection............
