    Judder

Again, thanks for the replies chaps. 2001 TD4 softback by the way. I phone a clutch centre and they said they would do it for £400 ish. I havent got any quotes from local firms yet, and not likely to now for the next two weeks as I am away. The dual mass flywheel I gather is about £500. The...

    Judder

Ah sorry.. I do quite like it actually, and am looking for a repair. Was hoping to get a bit of advice, and lead me in the right direction. I am suspecting the clutch, but it has no sign of slipping, just the judder.

    Judder

my FREElander is juddering. Once in gear it is fine, but especially at low speeds, it is horrible. It started like this when I was reversing the caravan.. a few tight locks, next thing, horrible clutch burning smell. I was hoping it was the VCU side of things, so I removed the prop shaft. It...

    Clutch? vcu?

Something judders.. but it appears to be at the back of the car. The clutch pedal seems to have gone down a few inches.. only driven it a couple of miles, and apart from the judder at the back.. and some squeaky noises (brakes are suspect) it seems to drive ok ish.

    Clutch? vcu?

I drove my 2001 TD4 with a caravan the other day, all fine until the reversing. I had to get it in between some trees so I needed to do some full locks and reversing. I know even on it's own, full lock seems to have a resistance when driving or reversing. Anyway, I got the caravan to where I...
