    Had a look on fleebay mine looks like a Type No: 22DC597/60R, RG Part No: XQD 101730PMA but guess it depends on whether you have a multichanger.

    Not sure what my model number is for my 2001 it is a radio and cassette with cd multichanger under passenger seat though.

    Hi and welcome As to the stone chips keep a eye out to see if it comes back, fitting front mudflaps may help. At a guess it was probaly some careless driving by a previous owner.

    I guess time will tell but the modified thermostat never saved the freelanders original engine. I'm not saying its right or wrong it may be a case of trial and error.

    Bought it about 11 years ago for £300 pound Sold it about 2 years back for £3250. Sad to see it go but seen it up for sale recently on milweb and not being sold by the guy i sold it to. We had a lot of fun going to shows in it but the kids grew up and were not interested anymore. Bought a brace...

    The head had been sorted and a new water pump and cambelt. We also took the thermostat in the hoses out so we replaced top and bottom hoses with earlier type. There is now only the thermostat in the rear of the block.

    No i just don't see the point of jumping on everyones backs when they say they have bought a 1.8. It's like people are wishing them to fail, all seems very negative.

    Ok so the 1.8 petrol k series has issues as we all know. However i don't understand everyone popping up and slagging them off every time someone new says they have bought one !
