I don't know where to look for that filter? Ive just changed the crankcase breather as per the post on this forum......all went well, but it was scary with all those bits off! so.....where (in numpty terms!) is the fuel filter?? :o)

So I just had a service and the problems have started.....the turbo hose split and I replaced that, but now its a classic case of TD4 lack of power.......:mad: So, as a definitive list of what I should do now..... 1. Crankcase breather...replace with new BMW plastic one ASAP 2. check the turbo...

Thanks guys, got the bit from the main stealer today for £12......the missus needed it today..... fitted in 5 mins and no hissing or smoke.............! gave the big bit of plastic that resembles the engine a polish too

Thanks mate, would that have caused thick smoke out of the rear under accelleration? Is there a specific name for that 90 degree bit of pipe? it is that one that is gone, round the back, ..........It just seems a bit strange that it went straight away after the MOT and service :)

Battery was shot where she had been spinning it over to no avail.... I got it hitched to some jump leads and my father in law's car and persuaded the pump with a mild malletting...... Job done. I'll get a pump ordered up though and a new fuel filter..... Cheers for getting back tho!

Got the Falcons fitted today and first impressions are very good! A small increase in road noise is noticeable over the synchrones, but at half the price, I am not worrying:D It may be because I had all the windows and the roof open tho:p Anyway, Ive put the good 2 rear michelin synchrones on...

I phoned costco today and the deal is similar but the initial cost of the tyre is £156 then I would have to upgrade to executive membership @£30 which would mean each tyre would be £125 ish then the £30 on top..... I have found better....Event tyres have some really good prices starting at £367...
