Does anyone have a link to download a RAVE for Fenders? I've got the Disco and Freelander, but can't find a Defender copy.

    Diff Pinion Flange Dropped Off

Apparently, the split pin was so corroded that it fell out of both the castellated nut and the pinion, which stripped the threads out of the nut. The two remnants of the split pin show no signs of corrosion, and the only bits to be found were the ends of the 'legs, with the 'bulb' part and the...

    Brain Wracker

Has anyone ever come across a Rover axle diff piniion split pin, which secures the castellated nut, shear and the nut undo itself, dropping the front end of the propshaft onto the deck? Fortunately, it happened at arouind 3mph as I was turning off a main road, instead of at my usual motorway...

I have an 1100CCA battery on my Landy, with heater plugs on starting. However, I have recently started having problems with her firing up, and been told that the battery is flat! The engine cranks over withour any problems, and I have had to use it to move off a main road, so I don't think hat...

    Inmjector Pump Problems

Has anyone ever had the CAV pump stop working and dumping the fuel onto the ground? I do have a replacement pump which has been fully serviced, and is ready to go. However, I'm not overly keen on stripping the front end, removing the timing belt cover, fitting the pump and rebuilding. I believe...

Trackers and tracker readers ... Be careful

I know that this is not a direct Fender thing, but it's applicable to all Green Oval owners, and I've been requested to share it on here. https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/foiled-tracker-theft-169459.html

    Gearbox problems

I managed to completely ferque cup my LT77 gearbox, which was then removed by a garage. They sent it off through an Indy to Ashcrofts (who I recommended at the start!), and I am sitting here thirteen hundered quid lighter, (including refitting it,) with a totally rebuilt box that doesn't like to...

    Electric Fan?

After a very long and liquid chat with a friend yesterday, I am wondering if it would be worth changing my viscous fan for an electric one mounted directly behind the rad. The rad has plastic head and foot manifolds with alloy fins. Has anyone got any recommendations for fitting an electreakle...

    Ooooopsie!!

Me baby's gearbox has gone and gone bang!! What betterer place than at a T junction at the top of a bluddygert hill!! No drive at all, so I don't think it's a half shaft, unless they go front and back at the same time! Rolled back around a mile with the engine running, with no crunchy-grindy...

    Love it ...

I have spent the past few days, on and off, talking someone through a very slight problem, which included an oil leak. It's an FN LAND ROVER FFS!! Anyway, he was all set to go on a 50-mile round trip to go and get a new gasket. I suggested that he gets a Corn Flakes packet and make up one...

    That's it!

After a zillion years of tatty paintwork and bits of different colours showing through, I've bitten the bullet and she is going to get a new, professional paint job!! She will retain the yellow roof and bonnet, and have a new, smart yellow stripe around her middle. The rest will be a dark...

    Chassis change

Her undersides were rotten and getting worse, as every year yet another patch was welded on, so that I finished up with more patches than chassis! Unfortunately, I don't have a garage or huge n cave available to allow me to do any more work myself! I contacted Jim at Nortthumbria Youth Action...

Identify starter 110 ex army diesel NA

Hello Mate ;) He says that the starter spins up and turns the engine when he shorts the battery lead to the spade connector, which means that there's probably nothing wrong with either starter or solenoid, and that he's probably got a bit of broken wire somewhere.
