This is a Range Rover. Sadly.

I followed one into Weston two days ago; black, with massive black alloys, private/custom EV09UE* plate.........what a pile o' ****e....IMHO ;) If it had a Toyota or Volvo badge I might have understood it, bold, brash, weird, funky even, but NO WAY should it carry the name Range...

Towing a trailer - lockout the EAS?

Tony, the man who invents that will be a billionaire in minutes !!!!:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi Bak to subject, yes, RR strongly recommend lock ride height at Standard whilst towing for stability.

    Bloody hell, disposible radiators??

If (1) easy fix.....don't buy sh!tpart, otherwise may well be (2) .....worse scenario, worth looking into - any other symptoms??

central locking locks when it wants ???

Check no wires caffing, usual suspect is where loom goes from body into the door. If not there then there's prolly loose/poor connection on door outstation.

Going back to 16"s from 18"s

16's were most common standard fitment and generally best "all-rounder".....as said, adjust pressures accordingly for road/off-road use. Usually better prices on tyres for 16's too!

    Thats it, it's fcuked!

probably need a new top end or at least heads skimmed/new gaskets, top-hatliners.......not cheap but if rest of car good is worth the £££££'s!

    rear diff oil change!

Found it! As you said, about 1/3 up, square drive plug with magnet. Took ages to fill using syringe!! Took it down the road, sounds quieter, but not right. Best check wheel bearings etc next I guess!! It's a '99 T plate 1.8 soft-top thingy!!

    rear diff oil change!

I'm a newbie to Freelander stuff.........usually on Rangerover forum :o Got the wife's Freelander on ramp at the mo; noisy rear diff. I had wrongly assumed a drain/filler plug but there appears to be none, just a rear-facing plate secured with about 10 bolts. Would I be right in thinkng remove...

    What else.......BeCM issues

If you remove/tilt back the drivers seat, takin the BeCM out is easy.........Irish had mine out in less than 10 mins. Mind you, he was drink free at the time  For BeCM to go into lock-out there must be an underlying problem; if you have the BeCM re-set and unlocked without first...

    What else.......BeCM issues

From personal experience faulty RF can, and often is, the cause of many problems. At around £170 it's also one of the cheaper "fixes" and potentially saves door locks burning out, outstation faults, BeCM faults. I'd strongly recommend everyone to make sure new uprated RF unit is fitted. If BeCM...

    P38 Fuse box

There would be no harm in removing and cleaning individual relays/pins, but DO NOT spray anything on the board; it could Very easily short across terminals:eek::eek: If everything is working as should be, I'd be leaving well alone tho!

    P38 immobiliser problems again - maybe ?

Spot-on (as usual) Keith, however, replace RF before locks otherwise it'll probably just burn-out the new ones
