    L322 2002 Range Rover L322 - Air suspension inactive.

I think I may have fixed it. I took the pump apart and ran it up outside the casing, it was pumping air ok but when I blocked the pipe with my thumb, air was escaping from the valve where the wiring attaches to the pump. Removed it, cleaned it, checked the rubber seal and reinstalled it. Seems...

    L322 2002 Range Rover L322 - Air suspension inactive.

Good evening, I have a problem with the air suspension on my 2002 L322 Range Rover. The suspension has always been a little slow to raise into the different height settings, but has never caused any issues. A few times over the past few months it has been throwing up the Air susp inac warning...

    Water on the boot cover!!

My D2 was leaking onto the boot load cover like yours. Sealed the alpine window, no change Sealed the foam bases around the roof bar bases, no change. Sealed up both sunroofs on the outside with Thompson Emergency Roof Seal (can be applied underwater, seals immediately, has fibres in...

    Mysterious Water Loss TD5

My sons TD5 had the same symptoms as yours. We swapped header tank caps (I have a D2 as well) and the problem went away.

    Questions from a new guy

I was thinking of a D3 but decided against it as the early ones I could afford were likely to be troublesome and on principle I would not buy a later one where the road tax is nearly £500 per year (registered after 23/3/2006). Also be aware that at 7 years or 105k miles, the TDV6 needs a cam...

Is my fuel pump kaput! Dicovery TD5

I took my pump out of the tank when the float came off. I refitted it and it took about 8 attempts to purge it before all the air came out. Switch ignition on for about 2 minutes and let pump run. Switch off, do not attempt to start. leave for a short while then keep repeating till pump runs...

    engine fault light

I agree, it will cost you around £40 but at least you will know what the problem is.

    Real world fuel consumption

I had an L322 with the 4.4 BMW petrol engine (which I think is different to the one in the D3). That got around 16 mpg in normal use, on one run to Kent I really nursed it along and got...................................18mpg.

Easiest way to seal sunroofs ?

I had same issue as you. Want to do them properly at some stage but havent got the time right now. Sealed them up with duct tape, very effective, easily removable and can only be seen from top deck of a bus.

    Multiple Faults Indicated

Glad you are up and running again. Suggest you do a little detective work to find out what the fuses are for, may give you an idea what caused them to blow in the first place. In my experience, they rarely blow for no reason at all.

    Multiple Faults Indicated

I havent got a D3 but had similar issues with my old L322 Range Rover. They are very complicated cars and very reliant on delicate electronics and are liable to throw up all sorts of errors if the battery voltage drops. Thats where I would start looking if I were you, check the voltage with a...

    MOT Advisory: Front Brake imbalance

I would take the wheels off and have a look first before ordering parts. Obviously check pads and disc condition but make sure pistons havent corroded and siezed in the calipers. Look at brake fluid, is it fresh or does it need replacing, is there any air in the hydraulic system? Hope this helps.

Wrap around soft bull bar STC50020

No its a standard 1999 TD5 but the bar fitted fine. No mods needed apart from cutting small hole klow down in rhs of bumper so bar can bolt to frame and chassis point. LHS goes through tow hook hatch so no cutting needed there.

Wrap around soft bull bar STC50020

I have just bought a brand new Nudge Bar from eBay (Item number: 180957616108), genuine LR one, for £125 delivered. It only covers the central section so no headlamp protection. Fitted it this morning in under 2hrs, didnt even have to take bumper off to fit it (although instructions say you do).

Landrover Discovery V8i ES 52 plate LPG

I had a Range Rover 4.4V8 with LPG for a while. Did 18mpg on petrol and about 15mpg on LPG. Had a 80litre LPG tank but it ran low after about 120miles and needed a refill. Most garages only have one lpg pump usually shared with petrol and diesel too so I usually had to queue up for it as well. A...

td5 Auto vrs manual, which is the Best?

I have looked at a few D3's as I do like them, but they are very complex vehicles and appear to be a bit fragile. I will be sticking with by D2 TD5.

    Sunroof stopped working

Good to see you fixed it yourself - Nice one! Wonder if a garage would have checked it out or just 'fitted' a new motor and presented you with a large bill

Test drove 2 Disco 3s today

Totally agree with you, I will definitely be keeping my D2. As an aside, another factor for me with the D3 is the RFL. If you buy one registered before 23/3/06, its £270 per annum, after that date its £460 or £475 depending on model. I think I pay enough tax already without 'donating' another...

Test drove 2 Disco 3s today

Not sure this is the right section but here goes:- Currently drive a 1999 Disco 2 TD5 S, manual, 100k miles. Test drove 2 x Disco 3s today. First one 2005, TDV6 SE, 82k miles, manual, £14k. Very nice, much smoother, quieter and more refined than my D2. Interior v nice, leather and decent...
