Is there any benefit to putting a lorry battery in a Defender. As long as it's still 12v is it fine to put in in place of the usual one? Cranking at 900 amps could be useful in winter and 120ah is useful for using lights without the engine. Will it be fine to use the original alternator with?

Yesterday I broke my front prop shaft. It was dark so I couldn't have a proper look but I think the bolts have sheared. The shaft is in one piece but is no longer attached to the car. Can I just put it back on or will it be unbalanced or damaged?
