do you think with the right tools , instead of cutting the whole door off could i cut a hole in the inside if the dor and cut part of the lock off to free up the door. then would jsut need a new lock. Any ideas?

prob end up cutting the door off. got all the bolts undone from the lock to the door hoping it would release but no luck. got a mechanic friend looking at it in the next few days but if that fails it will be cut off and new door time. gonna set me back £50 prob from salvage yard and it will be...

No luck. all the bits move as they should but the door wont budge. :(

car is unlocked and i didnt put the door car back on so can access all the rods easily but pulling them all etc has no effect :mad::(

anyone got a spare door as i only know of one way of getting the door open and that involves chooping the door up

hi all. i have a 1993 2.5 tdi disco. my fuel gauge seems to jump around a fair bit (up and down about 1/4 of tank). is this common and do i need to replace anything to get it reading the correct amount

Cheers Spyder, i will have to take you up on that. I have front bull bar type things that i will prob remove and the prob chuck on a steering gaurd with reovery points. Would the tow bar be ok for the back. Prob come out sometime after payday (end of month) if there is anyone going lanning

Just taken a closer look at the interior, i hadnt noticed that there are volume sensors above my head. There must be an alarm fitted but the key provided with the car did not have a button to set the alarm. I can only assume that when locking the car with the key i am just disabling the internal...
