Doing a body lift and have taken the rear ones out and got the nuts off the front ones but the pin is seized in the rod and it looks impossible to get an angle grinder in there to cut the pin head off (why didnt they put them in the other...

Ok so it looks like I need to replace at least one of my CVs the thing is there seems to be a big difference in price between the Britpart/Allmakes/Bearmach ones and the GKN ones. Are the pattern ones 'good enough' or will they need doing again in 3 months time ????

Long story short - have changed the clutch, was going to do it the engine out way so disconnected everything to get it out but in the end took the box out. Anyway its all back together and it wont start. Diagnosed a dead lift pump, change it along with new injector pipes and leak off rail but...

Has anyone ditched the clutch damper and just ran a braided hose from the master to slave cylinder for an improved pedal feel. If so where did you get it from as i cant see to find any. Otherwise I will just pop into a local hydraulics place and get them to knock me one up.

So the clutch is starting to slip in 4th and 5th around 2000rpm. got a Wales trip planned next month so want to do it ASAP. Looking through some threads here I see the borg & Beck (or AP as its now known) is probably the clutch of choice (did see the Britpart 'Heavy duty' one is stupid cheap...

Looks like my CB has died (no display and its seems to be stuck on one channel (not the one i use :mad:) so its new CB time. Any particuarly better than others, any to avoid? Looking at around the £60-80 mark :)

Why wont a Defender bumper fit on a Disco 1? I assume its the spacing of the mountings? Its just I have found a cheap 2nd hand defender winch bumper and it would be handy if i could mod it to fit.
