I had another play on Saturday, I can't believe I didn't see it before... The heater control lever had full travel & free movement. The heater flap lever on the box operated freely, so I assumed something was broken between the flap lever & the flap... NOPE It ONLY needed the cable adjusting...

Thanks for the replies guys I was thinking along the same lines. The cable does move, well it moves the flap lever... I did think the connection from the lever to flap was broken or not right... But there is a temperature change when operating the control lever. Warm or Cold... Looks...

rok, so I have a retro fitted 200tdi. The heater unit was overhauled prior to the engine swap & was TOASTY on the old 19J engine, all new foam seals replaced & was perfect. t... I also have a digi water temp gauge fitted as well. I KNOW the 200 tdi engine does run cooler but... As per other...

Mine fitted ok with a "little jiggle" to clear the bonnet release Have you drilled the holes in the floor plan already? Use Duct tape to ascertain the right position before drilling :-)

NO they're NOT, not if they are set up proper. Strip it, clean the matrix, seal the gaps so the hot air goes to the cab & NOT the engine bay, make sure the control cables are setup right & they are proper TOASTY :-) Try searching for Busters thread... how to make your heater work... worked...

Yeah, my 19J did that just before it decided to really pressurise itself & blow all the engine oil out of the filler... Hope you have a healthy balance in the 200tdi fund :-)
