    2002 Td5 down on power :-(

Hi Seirrafery Many thanks for your reply. The work was carried out by a well established company so I'm hoping the injectors were coded and the timing is correct but I can't be 100% - is there any way I can double check this? I have got a nanocom but in all honesty I'm not very savvy using...

    2002 Td5 down on power :-(

Afternoon :-) Bit of a long one I'm afraid but I'll try to keep it brief. My engine failed back in December 2019 (204k on the clock as suspect cracked head as sump was full of derv) Decided to have a recon engine from Turners installed as it's my works vehicle and does a lot of towing. When...

Anyone got any snapped half shafts?

Where are you based? We recently replaced the half shafts on my 110 as they had failed on the drive flange - old one are sat in the garden at the mo, welcome to them :-)

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Many thanks for the feedback - Chris also offers 2 different hight tripods that make heating the water easier but also allows you to hang the bag high enough to have a shower whilst sat down/crouching down!! This was my original plan but I've been playing with alternatives to allow you to stand...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Excellent, it'll be great to have a chat with you :-) When it arrived the first thing I did was run a cycle on the hottest setting. The water was plenty hot enough for a shower but my girlfriend (who has near boiling hot baths!!) was interested to know if it could go even hotter, so I ran the...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Hi John, we went for 2 weeks last summer and as you say we really struggled to find anywhere to pitch up. We managed a few nights but soon realised it would be a lot easier in a camper van rather than the 110 and separate tent!! We stayed in some fantastic campsites and had a great time - our...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Just to confirm I've emailed accywingy to explain my cock up and find out about sponsorship. I'd put a thread on the Expedition and the General forum so there's another thread that needs taking down - sorry :-(

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Genuinely sorry about this, I wasn't too sure what the situation was - I'll email accywingy now to sort sponsorship :-)

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Cheers for the feedback :-) It was the simplicity that really attracted us - plus that it weights very little and is so compact but still guarantees a shower!! Our plan this year is to do the Malvern LR show, hopefully Billing or Peterborough but cost may prevent this but definitely the...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Hi James - many thanks for your comments - when you say website owners are you referring to Landyzone or boundarytec? Not sure I'm following the sponsorship? This is all totally new to us - my day job involves chainsaws mostly!! So we're learning on our feet regarding selling products!! We had...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Yup, same here!! Didn't think a solar shower would be any good for Scotland so was pretty chuffed when we found this product - very simple yet effective. The biggest downside I've found is the same as with solar showers - the trickiest part is finding somewhere high enough to hang the bag to...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Many thanks for your comments/feedback ER1C - these were exactly the same concerns I had with the unit before I bought one. Being completely honest this product definitely isn't squadie proof!! But this is the compromise between it being efficient but also very lightweight. Chris (who designed...

    Expedition shower/showercoil

Hi there Not sure if I'm allowed to post this - please remove if so, apologies in advance :) Last year while planning a trip to Scotland I was keen to take a shower system as we were hoping to wild camp. A lot of research later and all I could find were solar shower (cheap but not always...

Who here has fitted puma doors to an earlier defender?

Bloody hell, that's a good price for new ones! Don't suppose they've got any passenger side doors left over?!! :-)

Who here has fitted puma doors to an earlier defender?

Nope, nothing major - from memory when I first closed the door it was catching on something, thought it was the striker but then realised it was rubbing on the head of one of the bolts which I was able to adjust :-)

Who here has fitted puma doors to an earlier defender?

I've got a drivers side puma door on my Td5 2002 110 (after the original almost got ripped off by a trailer!!) I found one with the door card and all internals so after getting it re-sprayed it was a straight swap. Actually quite shocked how easy it went on - slight adjustment to the door...

Land Rovers that should have been?

I wish the Agrover went into production - would be perfect for tree/forestry work!! Fits between a Mog and a Defender nicely http://www.lr-mad.co.uk/index.php/en/ag-rover

TD5 Defender 90 sudden power stutter and temperature spike??

My last boss had an issue with his Td5 were the temp would go into the red (even if the engine was cold) and it would turn over but not fire up - turned out to be one of the yellow relays under the seat - might be worth a look? HTH
