Persistant turbo boost fault. After turbo replacement all is well until about 6 mnths when the fault returns. 3 turbos later the fault has returned. On replacing the last turbo we also did the de cat and EGR blanking kit. The first 2 were replaced by the agents.
Sadly just been shattered by my second TD4 Freelander with a broken crankshaft. Both Landrover and BMW deny having this problem. Am I alone or has anyone heard of this and what may have caused this? The first broke in the front between no 1 rod journal and timing chain,the second in the middle...
I am experiencing a weird shudder on acceleration from 60 up to about 80kph and then it seems to disappear at further speed.I found the transferbox oil burnt and a change seemed to improve it for awhile.
Any ideas on a possible cause?

Bought a very nice low distance the other day that had a knock in the motor.I thought it was the flywheel so pulled the gearbox and horror of horrors! Dam crankshaft sheared at front of no 1 big end fillet!

Wot is the spec difference between the up to 2000 tdi 300 motor and the later ones as fitted to the Kalahari defender supplied to RSA for about 2 years?The performance,torque and smoothness are incredible and they seem to rev higher!:confused:
