    power mirror pin connectors

    Hi, just had my driver door mirror bust by some passing truck. 1996 p38. Iv'e got a replacement but it has a 10pin connector instead of the 6 pin thats on. Can I take the 6 pin off the old mirror and solder it to the same colour coded wires on the replacement, and make safe the surplus wires...
